A dark 1980s kitchen replaced with hand painted shaker units, quartz worktops and a floor levelled for the first time in a century.

Fit only, working with a kitchen the clients had bought themselves. The room needed more help than the brochure assumed: the floor fell 40mm corner to corner and the party wall bowed like a sail.
We levelled the floor with a self smoothing screed, straightened the wall with a counter batten and board, moved the gas and water to suit the new layout, and then fitted the kitchen the showroom had designed. Worktops were templated on day twelve and fitted on day sixteen.
It is the least glamorous work on this page and some of the most satisfying.
