Wraparound kitchen extension
Side return and rear extension knocked into one kitchen dining room, with a structural glass roof over the old side passage.
A classic Leyton side return: a dark galley kitchen and a passage full of bikes. The owners' architect designed a wraparound with a frameless glass roof over the old side return line, and we built it.
Two steels carry the back of the house; the picture window seat was made by Danny in our workshop and craned over the neighbour's fence with their blessing (and a bottle of something decent).
The clients cooked Christmas dinner in the new room eight days after handover, which is the kind of deadline that focuses everyone. Underfloor heating, polished concrete floor, kitchen fitted by us with worktops templated in week eleven.
